Tulum Mermaid was born out of a magic that can only be found in Tulum. Princess Starfinia, known on land as Carmen Adriana, came to Tulum for a rest in 2017 after the tragic death of her husband, Anthony. Feeling as if this place had specifically called to her, she settled in and waited for the next chapter to begin. Carmen spent 20 incredible years in New York City as wardrobe stylist and costume designer. So when the idea came to transform into mermaid she was intent behind her sewing machine making a tail. Things moved along, as they do in Tulum, and in December of 2018 Tulum Mermaid had her first Mermaid for a Day Experience. We are proud to now be the first PADI Mermaid Center on Mainland Mexico!
